For mothers with demanding careers

You look after everyone — who’s looking after you?

You’re brilliant at work, and you hold the whole of family life together at home — giving everyone the best of you, often with little left over for yourself. And in the quiet moments at the end of the day, when the house is finally still, a part of you wonders: what about me?

A private 60-minute conversation, in complete confidence.

Teri Farrari, developmental psychologist and stress-management therapist

It’s time for you

When you’re stretched in every direction, you’re the one who gets squeezed — the exhaustion no one else sees, the nagging worry about whether you can keep on performing at the level you expect of yourself, the relentless multitasking you do on autopilot while everyone leans on you. Wanting something for yourself, for once, isn’t selfish — it’s human.

It doesn’t have to stay this way. You can’t run on empty forever — because when you go down, everyone and everything goes down with you. You need someone in your corner who understands exactly what you’re going through — and can help you do it with new-found energy and direction.

That’s what I do. I help mothers get their mojo back and that renewed sense of who they truly are — the person you used to be until work and family life took over. So you can meet everything work and home ask of you. Become focused and energised again rather than stretched thin. Perform at your best where it matters most.

Using stress-management and natural-health approaches designed to fit into your non-stop busy life, we’ll ease what’s draining you and build back what’s been lost, so you feel more like yourself again.

Dealing with guilt and overwhelm

There are almost always times in a mother’s life when the constant need to balance work and family life leads to guilt and overwhelm. You are doing your best, but somehow there’s that nagging feeling you’re not doing enough or getting something wrong — the questions that go around in your head about childcare, education or your children’s wellbeing, everything from the tantrum years to the tempestuous and temperamental teen years.

I’ve got you covered on that too.

Why me

I’m a developmental psychologist, stress-management therapist and natural-health practitioner, with more than 30 years working with children and their families. I’ve been a mother and a stepmother, so I understand these pressures first-hand, as well as from my professional work.

I have a broad depth of experience in education, stress management and natural health: I founded the innovative Holistic Early Learning Schools, I’ve written parenting and children’s early-learning books, and my work has featured on the BBC, Sky, ITV and the national press.

It’s this unusual mix that lets me see the whole picture — to find the solutions that help you — the amazing woman you are holding it all together — who sometimes needs just a little extra support and a more effective way of moving forward when the wheels are starting to wobble.
